There's so many local opportunities to play and learn to play lacrosse.

Girls and Boys.

Girls.....MML Fall Lacrosse includes a special program for GIRLS to 'Learn2Lax' 5-6pm Thursday Nov. 6,13 and 20 (more during the winter.) Come try this exciting game. We will share sticks and teach skills. We just were awarded a $12,000 equipment and training grant to make a girls team happen. Come Thursday and start! $20 includes fall and winter . Grades 5-12. Learn and be ready for Spring Lacrosse. It's a great game. We need 15 girls (middle school and high school.) Invite your friends and come together. Colby Lacrosse Coach Karen MacCrate Henning is teaching one evening in January. We expect to hear from other ranking experts. Bowdoin College Coach Elizabeth Grote ran a clinic for us last May. Bring your friends and join the fastest growing game in the State, USA and world.

Boys....Come practice Stick Skills on the above listed evenings from 6-7 and play TrashCan lacrosse 7-8pm. Girls may stay (or not) and participate in Stick Skills and TrashCan Lacrosse play.We are in the second year of our $20,000 equipment and training grant award. Grades 5-12. Coach Gould will conduct our Skills and Drills. Coaches Wilson and Boreham will conduct our TrashCan play. High school athletes get prepared for the cooperative MCI/Nokomis school team. Learn the Game. Sharpen your skills. Prepare for Varsity status in 2017.

Boys & Girls Get psyched for our 2nd annual Sticks & Stones  Event..... Native Olympic Contests, Stone Soup, Lacrosse Play and Prizes. Sunday, November 16 11am-2pm. (Grade 5-12 ) $10 donation recommended. We hope Coach Rowell is able to run the Olympics. Chef Baker is brewing the soup. The game(s) will be generously refereed by Kyle Whillete. And save the date for our Tree Festival, December 7th 4-7pm (weather make up 12/14.) We will judge, award and raffle decorated trees. Enjoy food concessions and entertainment. Dexter Brass and some surprise entertainers will share holiday music and dance. We need everyone's help to make this event a success. Our major annual fundraiser. MCI Boys Soccer, Nokomis Show Chorus, RSU #19 Football, Nokomis Boys & Girls Soccer, Pittsfield Basketball, Nokomis Music, GS Troop 1300, Balance Yoga, MidMaine Lacrosse elementary 2-4, Middle School and High school and others are competing for "Best Tree" (and other categories) and Most sold raffle tickets. You can win and go home with your Holiday Tree! Sign your group up to decorate a tree! Dekk Monteyro will lead our concession sales. Young lacrosse players and friends join our elf parade! A collegiate level lacrosse coach, Jim Dock, UMF, will offer a February Training Camp on some Sunday's in February and March to middle school (3-4pm) and high school (4-5/5:30pm) players. This costs &75. (Similar programs elsewhere cost >$140) This program is an amazing opportunity. Comparable program are offered only in Scarborough and Warren (long drives....). Sign up by December 31st. Then this will be opened to other area clubs. Stay tuned for registration information. Grow our game and prepare for spring play.
