Letter from Gretchen

Transitions.....

Dear MidMaine Lacrosse,

We are growing and we are shrinking simultaneously. Our grade 2-8 program may see exponential growth again this season. Our high school rec program will markedly decrease in size as we are folded into a new an exciting MCI/Nokomis, MPA sanctioned, school club. It is is the hope that this cooperative MCI/Nokomis team becomes a Varsity school program in a couple of years.

Thank you to many that have worked with dedication to see this transition develop. Thank you to many that have worked hard all year to see lacrosse play at all ages develop in our local area. We continue to represent athletes from RSU #19 and MSAD #53, home schooled students and players without a local team.

MidMaine Lacrosse Recreation begins Tuesday, March 10th.
We will have a rolling registration process during the month of March. Register on a Tuesday or Thursday at Palmyra Community Center.
If you have played before, and know that you are playing again, you must register (and pay) to begin play.
If you have not played before and want to try the game for an evening you may participate without cost for an evening.
We have always tried to find resources for those with limited finances.
Please come regardless of ability to pay.
Thanks to US Lacrosse, MidMaine Lacrosse has equipment for boys and girls to borrow. You must be a member of MidMaine Lacrosse (and therefore US Lacrosse) to borrow equipment. MML will register you with US Lacrosse.

Michelle Hubbard and high school players run our FREE elementary program. Registration for this will take place March 26th from 4:30-8pm. NEXT year, 2016, MML would like to sponsor a 3/4 team so please bring your child this year, 2015, as we begin a building process. Children play Sundays in May and June at 2pm at the Palmyra Town Field.

Mary Alice Gould and Tad Simpson coach our 5/6 boy's team.
Joe Henaire and Dan Boreham coach our 7/8 boy's team.
Russell Wilson coaches our middle school girl's team.
Mary Alice Gould coaches our high school girl's team.
Norman Bolliger and John Mitchell coach our (small) high school boy's program.

Eric Rowell will join Adam Pomeroy and MCI Headmaster Chris Hopkins for the school directed MCI/Nokomis Cooperative. MidMaine Lacrosse will lend support and encouragement to this program but it is under school direction. The MidMaine Lacrosse Board of Director's does not run this cooperative program. BUT MML is so excited it is happening. The athletic director's of MCI and Nokomis, Jim Leonard and Mark Babin, have been great partners as we turn most of our high school operations to their auspices. Thank you very much. The cooperative begins practice at 3:00pm in MCI's Wright's Gymnasium on Monday, March 31st.

We have drafted MML rec club practice schedules. We are busily scheduling games. There are at least three special events in the works. You can follow us on FB., Twitter, www.midmainelacrosse.com or receive emails. We have a Goggle Calendar link we can share with you. We will be updating information and schedules consistently in coming days.

Welcome to 2015. Spring Lacrosse. We will be the BEST
Better Every Single Time.
