So, it off 'off season' at MidMaine Lacrosse.
1. And our administration is so busy our heads are spinning.
Please, when you are confused.....message us and ask kind questions. We are bound to make mistakes. There's not quite enough people yet to fulfill all the roles and responsibilities required at MidMaine Lacrosse.
We will need more volunteers moving forward, especially as Gretchen transitions next year.
Please watch all that is happening and select a management position for yourself next season. There are many reasonable tasks individuals could lead.
And if everyone makes one contribution the load lightens exponentially.
We have such a good gig going we do not want it to falter.
Please consider now what you can do next season.

2. All Hands on Deck December 5th and 6th.
This event makes us solvent for the upcoming season. This is one of only two big days all year for MML fundraising.
The tree festival is held on Sunday December 6th from 3-6pm at PCC.
We will need helpers Saturday to set up the trees.
We will need helpers Sunday as groups decorate their trees.
We will need donations for food for concessions.
We need workers all day and during the festival on Sunday.
We will need a huge brigade of helpers to clean up and sometime to deliver the trees. The general rule is that raffle winner of trees must be present to collect winnings but last year 25% of three went as charitable donations and we delivered some of them.
All Hands on Deck December 5th and 6th.
Please invite all your friends and family.
Share the FB event invite again and again.
Admission is free.
Plan your costume for the Costume Contest even now.
Stay tuned for the posting of the Volunteer Sign up.
Mid Maine Lacrosse expects over 300 visitors to this festival.

3. TrashCan Lacrosse Fall Play concludes this evening.
Winter play begins January 14th.
The Fall Program has been, once again, a huge success.
Thank you Dan Boreham, Karen Boreham, Russell Wilson, Mary Alice Gould, John Szarowski, Hayden Boreham and Breac Baker. It is a great way for people to learn about the game.
It is a great way for people to develop enthusiasm and skills to ready for spring play.
We are adding high school boys one by one.
Girls are joining and the girls program is expanding at all levels. We are seeking middle school boys from Warsaw, Etna, Somerset and Sebasticook.
The Little Tykes program is booming!
Thank you to the Town of Palmyra and Palmyra Recreation. Their hosting this program allows all kids to try it out while insured.
See many tonight and all on January 14th.

4. Is is exciting that All Pro Sports is bringing indoor lacrosse to Waterville. There are a few bumps and bubbles. MidMaine Lacrosse is playing a part of the problem solving efforts.
a. Our girls play middle school and high school together as our numbers grow. On one hand this gives us a size and experience disadvantage. One the other hand, it gives all girls an opportunity to really learn and advance their skill set.
b. It appears, that all pro, may not be able to secure another middle school boys team this initial league session.
No worries yet! MML is a bit ahead of the curve.
We have an eager cohort of middle school boys anxious to learn. To rectify the problem....All Pro is trying to arrange a clinic for our boys on Saturdays at All Pro. This would prove equal or superior opportunity for our middle school boys.
All Pro is trying to arrange it with a superior and amazing local coach. I expect confirmation today for Saturday play.
This would be more than a great situation.
The program directors at All Pro are working hard. They are communicating regularly.
I am not surprised that there a development snafus in this new and exciting play opportunity. They snaffles are worth struggling through.

c. Our high school program has grown and grown. It's success encourages others to want to play. This means we have a divide.....seasoned players and new players.
Each group needs meaningful minutes of play on the field.
All Pro is arranging for MidMaine Lacrosse to bring two teams to Saturday play. This will help ensure that all levels of experience get time to handle the ball in game situtaitons.
Some players will swing until numbers grow sufficient to fully support two teams.
Coach Norman and VP Karen Boreham are steering this development.

5. Christmas Sales of Coats, Bag, Shorts, Sweatpants, Socks and Car Decals will be posted later today and orders must be complete and paid for WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 18th. (This is late notice and not ideal but we are running as fast as we can....) Ordering 11/18 means we will have the items for Christmas (and maybe even for 12/6) The quality of the clothing items was top notch. MidMaine Lacrosse is making almost no profit on these items (enough to cover shipping etc.) Lacrosse stick do fit into the bags. Our next team order will take place near the beginning of season play in March/April. We need to order 12 of each item to secure the prices offered.
Thank you for your commitment. More information will come your direction soon. Please consider how you will contribute Dec 5th and 6th. Please consider your role for 2016/17 by observing all that is happening 2015/16.
