Tegenhondi 2015

Sent to Program Director's This Evening....

1. My email has had problems. Please reach me at jgbmbakerfam@gmail.com

2. My cell phone is 341-1545. My home number is 938-2681. My cell phone does not work at my home. Please do not leave a message. Text me or call again. I will attend our daughter's dance recital Thursday and Friday night and will be difficult to reach.

3. PLEASE have players complete the liability waiver from US Lacrosse. Hand this in @ Registration either Saturday May 2nd or Sunday May 3rd. There will be an obvious registration table near the Seaverns Field @ Harold Alfond Stadium.

4. Please email rosters and fun early season team photo by Tuesday, April 28th pm. The program will go to the printer in the morning of Wednesday April 29th.

5. Games will be played Saturday May 2nd (High School) and Sunday May 3rd (Middle School) @ Seaverns Field and Bill Alfond Field. Turf footwear requirements will be detailed in a followup email.

6. Three schedules will be email via our email network

    a) High School Games Saturday May 2nd
    b) Middle School Games Sunday May 3rd with Gardiner Recreation 5/6
    c) Middle School Games Sunday May 3rd without Gardiner Recreation 5/6

7. High School games will be played on full fields.
8. Middle School games will be played on fields app 20 feet short in length and 10 feet short in width.

Thank you ALL for your patience. I do not know how we could have done this differently. Colby College is amazing for sharing with MidMaine Lacrosse and all 30 teams attending this tournament. Please remind your players of this privilege.
A small detail or two could change but really all is a "GO".

In 2014 we had a very fun day. It served as a wonderful season starter. We expect the same fun in 2015.
MML will follow up in a second email with house keeping tips, parking recommendations, footwear suggestions and a concession menu.

The event will, in a small manner, serve as a fundraiser for the Colby College Woman's Volley Ball Team. There will be a one small admission fee charged on both days.

Please thank a Colby College representative each and every time you see one.

Thank you very much,

Gretchen Gehrke Baker

Housekeeping

Housekeeping

MidMaine Lacrosse is off to a great start.
Thank you.

Some items for consideration

1. If you are confused, then the MML Parent/BOD is sure to have confused many. So please, if you are confused, ask us and we will address the area of confusion. We are growing so fast. We have many super helpers but there are never enough helpers. We are going to make mistakes so, if you think we might have made a mistake, please bring it to our attention.

2. All sales, fund raisers, trips and group projects must be approved annually by the Parent/BOD. Many people have great ideas. The Board is likely to approve most projects. The Parent/Board of Director’s strengthens our organization. It allows for a transition of leadership over time. It allows for systematic growth. All projects MUST be approved annually by the leadership at our monthly meetings. If you cannot attend a meeting and have a great idea or fund raising idea please ask someone to share your idea or information. We have voted on and follow by-laws from a similar organization. Hopefully, we will soon have time to recreate such by-laws for ourselves.

3. The weather leaves some final details for the Tegenhondi Tournament evasive. We will not be able to announce schedules etc. until Tuesday, April 28th. The Tournament is Saturday, May 2nd. (There is a slight possibility we might need to conduct the tournament over Saturday May 2nd and Sunday May 3rd.) This is ALL due to weather. Please keep your time available on those dates. This is one of two annual fundraisers which support our entire organization.

4.  Please sell CALENDAR RAFFLES. This is such a super method to fund our future. We need paint for fields. We need to support 7 teams. We have requested that each player sell 5 but it would be terrific if each player sold 20+. Calendars are due to be turned in to coaches Tuesday, April 28th.

5.  Does each team have a Team Parent and Field Manager? Please consider and discuss these roles with your coaches.

Please order coaches jackets and shirts through Jen Henaire. Thank you Jen. We got great shirts and coats last year. Message me for Jen's contact info.
The order form attached here is for player attire. The clothing will be in team colors-maroon, black and white. The clothing is not the colors pictured here. Order forms will be available at practice. We will send the order in on Wednesday, April 8th. There is an expected two week turn around. Orders must be paid in full on April 8th. MML is not making any profit on the sale of these goods. Nancy Monteyro is facilitating this project for MML.

Please check the Master/Team Calendar today at www.midmainelacrosse.com.

There have been some "this week" changes to practice times.

Your BOD is organizing seven levels of play. There are some kinks to work out.

We will keep up our diligent efforts.
